  • The sanctuary of Santa Luzia is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic monuments of Portugal. An excellent example of revival architecture, the church interior is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen and outside the sanctuary the sight is really great! For the more daring, recommend up the staircase and down by the funicular. If you don't want to get tired, can do the opposite or just use the funicular.

  • A fantastic place to visit. Highly recommend the high trek up the steps - knackering but well worth it 😊 the Panasonic view from the top is breathtaking, the staircase is very narrow so be careful
  • Beautiful building on the top of the hill. 1€ gets a lift ride to the top for great views. Lovely interior with three circular stained glass windows. The brochure says they are the three largest in Europe.
  • Wonderful view. Quiet place.
  • Historical place ..the church has great history.. quiet and very beautiful place.. church inside occupied with elevator that helps to travel to top of the church .you can see clear view and entire city
  • I lived in Viana Do Castelo for about 6 months and I would visit this place quite often. It's historically beautiful and the view on a clear day in the tower is incredible.
