Troia Beach, Troia
(4.5/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web)
The word "paradise" comes to mind at Troia Beach, where a stretch of soft white sand meets the calm blue Atlantic. The area has been well developed for tourists, including a resort near the beach, yet the beach itself remains largely unchanged, with its sands extending out seemingly endlessly. Amenities include nearly every water sport imaginable, plus golf and tennis. To reach this gorgeous beach, take a ferry from Setubal. It can sometimes get crowded on the weekends, so just walk down the coast if peace and quiet is what you're after. To visit Troia Beach on your trip to Troia, use our Troia trip builder.

  • I like crossing boats. Several dolphins swimming beside the ferry. Impossible to go the Setúbal and not visit Troy.

  • Worth knowing the ruins of Troy, a lot of history there, also advise a stroll through the marina of Troy, for lunch in a restaurant and get to know the Casino. The beach is also wonderful.

  • Environment privileged that gradually invade the large constructions and it is losing its charm. Endless beaches, with cold and bravo Atlantic as the protagonist. The climate is very variable, we had rain and wind. We are not talking about a tropical climate in any case. In summer it is full of traffic jams and noise; out of season too solitary. Its growth is uncontrolled and disorderly. We still find bars with outside barbeque and an exquisite fresh fish at a great price. I recommend taste sea comporta (ask because it has no sign).

  • best beach in the area....just walk down the beach for 5 minutes and you'll be in a really secluded area too. Some of the restaurants are a little pricy but the food is good...particularly the setien vege burger if you are vegetarian.
  • The beach is really nice and is not that crowded. There is a restaurant on the beach and a few others nearby. The view to the mountains and the ocean is fantastic!
  • Amazing place to visit if you love the nature.
  • Ótima praia! Segura, limpa, areal extenso... Quando a maré está baixa, tem de se andar um bocado até se conseguir ter água pela cintura, mas com a maré cheia fica ótima para nadar e mergulhar! Até se vêem peixes!
  • Tranquilidade das águas da foz do Sado.
