  • The stairs begin just past the park along the river. From the road I counted 256 stairs. They are in flights of 10-13 stairs. Much easier coming down. You get some nice views of the city as you work.....  more

  • Great view and realy pituresc place
  • Make 12 flights x 12 steps of stone stairs. Test your fitness.
  • Very charming, it was worth the visit, despite not having other points of interest nearby.
  • The view is beautiful. From there you can see the city, the Castle and the convent of Christ. Very good for exercising: you can climb the stairs or the dirt path on the right side of the stairs. In addition there is a "tower" right at the beginning, on the right side, and there is a little church up there. Despite the name "Escadinhas", you have to have breath to climb because there are several steps. Lol I was told there are 365 steps, but I never counted. Lol This is one of my favorite places in the city of Tomar.
