  • It is a gathering place and peace. The Sanctuary has a Chapel, whose doors were always open, to serve as a shelter who passed. Today is a great sanctuary, which is visited by many pilgrims, who in the vast majority, come on bus tours. There are organized spaces with benches and tables, where visitors can rest and dine. Exciting to see the devotion and faith of those pilgrims who in infecting. The construction of the shrine is characterized by beautiful tile panels of the chancel Chapel and the exterior walls as well. The sanctuary, which is a loud place, have a wonderful view of the river. It was an amazing tour, a lot of energy. I left energized from there.

  • Religious site but worth a visit by the natural viewpoints and the old and new churchs, both interesting.
  • Has a good view to the Gerês national park. There is also a quite fancy hotel to spend the night if camping and hostels are not your thing.
  • Nice little area with a great view. One of the mandatory stops in a visit to Gerês.
  • The religious history, the view, the architecture...
  • Nicest view in Portugal.
