  • The island is a small nature reserve near the village of Fuseta. It can be reached on foot via a footbridge and after the bridge you can take a train. That's really not necessary because it is only about 800 metres to the tiny oordje with lots of bars, shops and toilets. The beach isiet wide, but very beautiful. The restaurants/winkltjes are fun and nicely laid out. It is here good sunbathe and relax. The sea is rough ... The ocean is right on the beach rolling.

  • Fantastic beach. One of the best in the Algarve. Catch the train to arrive. A few restaurants. Great day out.
  • Beautiful beach. Easy to get to either by walking (there's a foot bridge) or you can use the rail car. Once there, there is an area with restaurants, changing rooms and toilets. The beach itself is beautiful with fine white sand. We were there in mid November (daytime temperature was 21° C), and the beach was practically deserted.
  • Superb beach. Very clean, nice restaurants and even showers for after the kitesurfing.
  • Why not have lunch in Santa Luzia and then walk it off with a visit to this endless beach? For the hot summer months there is a small gauge diesel train that runs the few hundred metres from the pontoon bridge out to the beach. The beach is all but endless and you can follow it east all the way back to Tavira. There is a beach cafe and a restaurant at the back if the beach and huge anchors from the tuna nets set into the sand. Of course, the tuna industry hereabouts ended in the 1970s after a century or more of overfishing.
  • nice and beautiful beach, definitely a place to go.
