Not to be missed. A beach is notable for its clear waters that for the particular site. The little train that takes you to the beach evokes nostalgia and bars offering refreshing drinks and childish fast but good snacks complement the day. And waters non-Med offer refreshment to the heat.

There are some cranky. But deserve nice places there are small efforts to modulate its arrival times to easily find place for parking Parking actually full but important departure arrival flow. Certainly appreciated Beach vacationers and locals in WE but Beach extensive and always a way to find what to plant his beach umbrella and equipment and structures shops correct restoration. The train leave you a change of scenery and originality do not hesitate if you follow the coast to spend a while nice PRAIA DO BARRIL deserves our rating. 5 minute walk 10 minutes from small decauvile and for a few euros € 3 return person the ocean awaits you ✅ Ps: you can shower on-site practical when you want to go in a different outfit for a dinner someplace else good holiday to the and algavre who knows give you a diversity of sites and a good home.

Enjoy a tropical environment for land in Portugal. We had lunch a simple Burger but full of flavor, very well made more water and coffee for about a dozen euros. What's not worth paying almost the same on trips on the train ... walk is done well since a good part of the way to make the shade of trees.

  • You have to walk at least 30min to get to the beach, especially for the naturist area, but the way towards is very beautiful, the beach is wide and clean, and there are very few people(June). No-one disturbing you and a beautiful 'hinterland' without buildings or noisy cars.
  • The sand is so beautiful, but the sea water has some funny smell. Curious how the local Concil deal with the local waste water.
  • Beautiful beach. Easy to get to either by walking (there's a foot bridge) or you can use the rail car. Once there, there is an area with restaurants, changing rooms and toilets. The beach itself is beautiful with fine white sand. We were there in mid November (daytime temperature was 21° C), and the beach was practically deserted.
  • Fantastic beach. One of the best in the Algarve. Catch the train to arrive. A few restaurants. Great day out.
  • Why not have lunch in Santa Luzia and then walk it off with a visit to this endless beach? For the hot summer months there is a small gauge diesel train that runs the few hundred metres from the pontoon bridge out to the beach. The beach is all but endless and you can follow it east all the way back to Tavira. There is a beach cafe and a restaurant at the back if the beach and huge anchors from the tuna nets set into the sand. Of course, the tuna industry hereabouts ended in the 1970s after a century or more of overfishing.

Tavira boasts a selection of affordable accommodations. Check yourself into a family-run bed and breakfast or small-time hotel as an affordable option with a quiet atmosphere among the city's array of whitewashed homes. Stay in a guesthouse or private apartment tucked into the residential neighborhoods along the banks of the Gilao River for a great view over the waterway and across to the other side's historical waterfront buildings. Alternatively, you can opt to pay a little more to stay in one of the more upscale hotels located in the residential neighborhoods north of the freeway; these require transportation into town but feature pools, restaurants, and plenty of amenities.
