  • Is very close to the Centre, near the Castle and the Islamic Museum, so easily accessible. Entry is free and has an exhibition of religious art, but what enchants are your tiles inside. On the day I was there I was giving someone breaking a finger on the piano, the climate and views were amazing.

  • This is one of many churches and Tavira's, it is located in the very centre, at the start of a small height, up to the oldest part of the city. The church stands out with beautiful tile work in addition to a painted behind the wall at the altar. Norwegians could be to wonder if the same itinerant artists have had a summer job in some of the Norwegian stave churches. It is fascinating to see the similarity between the build from the same periods, but on such a long distance. The Church is often used for concerts. Through the winter season the chances are that if you come here on a Saturday at 18.00 then you can admire the Interior at the same time that you can attend a one hour concert for 5 euros.

  • We were in the Church of mercy by a chance and we were surprised with the simplicity of the building. Tiled murals illustrating the acts of mercy frame a beautiful Baroque altar, although small. In addition, the woman who receives visitors explain quickly and efficiently the details of the Church. Worth the visit!
