  • There’s no entrance fee to visit it so no excuses! It is in fact just a ruin of a castle, there’s not much left in fact but you do have some nice views of the city and it’s surroundings.  more »

  • The castle is free entrance but is in a bad condition. Sure deserves a visit with family and friends to see the gardens and the view. A price could be applied and still be worthy.  more »

  • Take the stairs up from the main street. Well kept gardens and a lovely place to walk around as long as it's not too hot. Nearby cafe has superb cold drinks.
  • Tavira, Portugal. I love this place. Yes it can be busy but it somehow feels relaxed. Beautiful white washed buildings. Lovely park. Sitting on river. There is a Irish Pub serving very tasty food and of course Guinness.
  • Amazing views and it's totally free! The gardens are beautiful and the setting is really cool. One of our favourite off the beaten path towns we have been to in the Algarve!
  • Small, but lovely castle grounds with ruins and views over Tavira. Beautiful garden with lovely plants and trees, makes for some nice photos too. Worth the short up hill walk from Tavira town, and it's free!
  • Beautiful garden and nice view from the top. Worth a little visit as you are wandering around Tavira's small but colourful streets.
