This is a relatively new place in Setúbal (opened in 2008) which allows relaxation time/living/wellbeing. Provides ample space lawn with many shadows, where they can also develop some activities for children. The use of the beach is limited to the movement of the tides, because at high tide, and because the language of sand is narrow, this is absorbed by the water that reaches the wall. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful view over the Troy and Sado River, and even part of the Serra da Arrábida, allowing you to view the green vegetation that climbs the Hill to the castle of St. Philip. Shows, even for calendar, some cultural and sporting activities, such as live music, children's games, amongst others. Has a great terrace in the Centre of this captivating tranquility. Has a free parking place that, after all, is not too large. The PUA (Albarquel urban Park) is a place that, by your location, inserted in the Bay of Setúbal, makes it worthy of visit, as it is near the beaches, the city and the mountains. Schedule and visit it, and won't as long as lost.

Riverside location very quiet and pleasant, overlooking Troy and the Serra da Arrábida. Where you can enjoy a wonderful terrace and a few green areas with shade. You can also do the beach when the tide is low, just so you can extend your towel on the sand, otherwise have the grass.

  • Beach and garden in one space. Ideal for relaxing reading a book while children play soccer or exercise. It has good shade places where you can spread a towel and sleep, low priced restaurants, bar and snack bar. Parking is supervised and toilets always have staff present. The beach has no lifeguards, usually strong sea currents. You can take your food and have a picnic.
  • Very nice place to relax. Bring a book, sit in the shade enjoy the view.
  • Great riverside park with a small beach. The water is crystal clear and during the summer there are few waves. The park itself is quiet and clean without homeless people or druggies, nestled right at the edge of the Arrabida park. Lots of sport and nightlife events. There was the Olympic 10K swim marathon qualifiers in June and soon the Portuguese national triathlon competition. Every weekend in the summer there is a night time dance party such as this weekend´s White Party sponsored by Heineken. You can also walk a block to the ocean side restaurants to dine on what are arguably the best and freshest fish in Portugal. Another tidbit, during low tide you can walk along the rocky beach to Albarquel beach for what this urban river/seaside part is named after.
  • Nice playground for kids and adults! At sea and mountain side!
  • Great place to take a walk and chill out
