  • Monastery of St. Benedict, the monastery was founded in 978. In 6, 7, 8 August 1409 the monastery receives the visit of d. João I. In the 15th century the monastic Church was built by benefaction of Martim Gil, count of Barcelos. This church got a few archaeological remains. The current church was built in 1659-79, with design of Frei João Turriano, son of a Milanese architect, Leonardo Turriano. Owning Latin cross plan and a single nave. The facade possess three niches in which they are housed sculptures of Santo Tirso in the Centre, flanked by Saint Benedict and Scholastica. Is in the city of Santo Tirso, Porto-Portugal
