  • The levada Caldeirão Verde is a real insider tip for NaturliebhaberInnen. 6.5 km natural paradise with numerous waterfalls and impressive abyss. A light source must take because there are some tunnels. We 2 hours up to the waterfall at the end of the levada needed break and numerous photo stops. Back we went faster and needed just 1 hour 15 minutes. The levada Caldeirão Verde is a "must have seen" for Madeira visitors!

  • One of the most beautiful lewad. Particularly spectacular is its end, just about stumetrowy narrow what true waterfall flows into small lakes. We were on this lewadzie with Lido Tours. Famously prepared substantive guide Sarah-Moreover, beautiful women, nice driver Nelio. All closed the last button. Many of the rock gates and four tunnels on the 12 km route lewady, you can see many endemic plants and flowers.

  • Have passed this trip 3 times and think it is just as amazing every time, even if we have gone over 50 different Levadas in Madeira. The way up to Queimadas, where the levadaen starts, is now well sign up from Santana. Levadaen is easy to find, but contains 3 tunnels, so the torch is required. You also pass a few nice waterfalls before you have arrived at the Pearl Caldeirao Verde. Actually, the worst place the loose gravel and rocks in next to the waterfall. The last time we were there, so it was a Dutch woman, who had the bone crack. She had to be carried out on a stretcher of 4 firefighters. Two of them had to wade in the levadaen. So good Footwear is recommended.
