  • The pond is the deposit of water cascade from the ribeira do Maioás that falls from a great height, with a look of delight. It's called pond or Lake of the ducks due to popular have left there some species as a point of attraction. and its development power of those birds is in charge of the Mayan residents a quantity control ´ of birds, to prevent them from being diverted to a pot of people who do not respect the nature, the visit should take place preferably in winter, due to the large amount of rainwater p that thickens the flow of that river, though the visit is well worth. Recommend.

  • Very easy to access. It's right down the road that passes through Maia. Some Santa Maria guide talk about the roar of falling water, but our passage very little flow.
