#2 of 23 in Golf in Faro District
Swing and putt your way through a wooded landscape at San Lorenzo Golf Course, set on the edge of the Ria Formosa estuary. Work through 18 holes set on rolling hills, sandy stretches, and marshland. You'll find that several sections give you views of the ocean, while a particularly challenging run near the end of the course utilizes the waters of the Ria Formosa in its design. You can rent or buy all sorts of golf gear and necessities at the course's shop. After your round, stop by the clubhouse. The facility has changing rooms. We played on this course beginning August 2017 if the course is beautiful, it is clear that the price is bcp too expensive given the level of delivery: 1. Despite the 30 degree, they provide more small bottles of water in 2 buggies. They offer more tee 3. buggies have even no integrated GPS screens 4. Once, there was no water in the aid to clean his ball on the departures :( In short, paying 134 euros + 50 euros cart for a low service level is the flight! There are many other golf in the area preferred

  • We played in gorgeous weather in late September 2016. The course is primarily a parkland course with a few photo opportunities holes by the sea. From the white tees the course is relatively long but plays short because of roll. The course philosophy seemed to maximize the challenge by elevating the greens and tucking the pins. Almost every drive was to a very wide landing area with the only challenge streams at odd distances crossing the fairways. Many sand traps surround the greens but the traps are shallow and beautifully manicured. All in all vastly overrated. A pretty course but also pretty easy. While the off course staff was wonderful, those on course needed an attitude adjustment. A fun round of golf but not a seriou one.
  • Beautifully well designed course playing very strategic holes
  • Very nice course
  • Fantastic Golf Course .The manager MrAntonio Santos excellent host, my only criticism,Out dated GREEN MOWERS, noisy tractors Diesel pollution, NOISE,NOISE,Could be so much better with modern mowers ,come on you have the funds, just do it.. Sorry about that. Thanks
