  • Great place to find fresh food. Fish is a bit expensive, but fruits have reasonible price and variety is very good. Mangis ready to be eaten, papaijas and stuff you cannot find from the local stores.  more »

  • If you like fresh fish then this is the place. Good selection of local catch. Most of what you'd expect to see. No bargains but cheaper than supermarket. Staff very helpful cleaning and preparing the fish for you. Appears to be closed Sundays but open every or most other days, but get there in morning. Still plenty of fish left at 11am though typically.
  • I see most reviewers went to the market to have a look instead to buy... it looks interesting, for sure. But to buy?! At the fruit market, as it was obvious we were tourists, they made us taste some good looking cherries, and pushed us to buy, in the end we decided to buy some. However, they filled the bag from an under the counter box, and didn't let me see the weight. We were sad to discover at home the cherries we got were perished, we had to throw it away. From the four pieces of 'viennoiserie' I bought at the bakery, two were dry, must have been 2-3 day old already. It's disappointing to feel exploited as tourists, and to experience this short term view on business. I rather buy both fruits and bakery in the nearby Jaifer's supermarket during the week. This makes a bad aftertaste to our otherwise great holiday in Portugal. It's not about the money spent, it's the attitude.
  • Amazing sights and sounds. A wonderful opportunity to purchase really fresh fish.
  • Excellent selection of fresh fish and seafood available should you be self catering in Quarteira. There's nothing comparable where we live in the UK..
  • Very friendly atmosphere clean the places and products very fresh and well put.
