Aquashow Park, Quarteira
(4.1/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
Not only a waterslide attraction, Aquashow Park offers the biggest water roller coaster in Europe, plus 18 other attractions--some adrenalin-inducing, others slow and refreshing. Try out the 740 m (2,430 ft) long and 70 km/h (43 mph) extreme coaster, which throws you into the pool at the end. Whirl and spin through pitch-black tubes and open-air slides, plunge down racing lanes head-first and fly through the air on a 12 m (40 ft) high pendulum-like swing. Cool down in the wave pool, float down the lazy river, and see shows with parrots, reptiles, and birds of prey. You can even reserve a one-on-one sea lion meeting. • One more year and mandatory point for kids and not only, the father also loves the slides. Great space, careful, clean, safe and always innovating! Thank you for the year, we're certainly.

  • The best aquatic amusement park in the country, the best quality level for a good day out! Ideal for the family although it is expensive but well worth it.

  • Good service, nice spacious rooms, moderate prices (restaurant and bar), very good breakfast (English-influenced) Portuguese cakes, rich fruit and vegetables, eggs of your choice to open terrace, unfortunately not only drawback heated outdoor pool: bathrooms all with mould in silicone

  • My child had a fall on slide.. we were left to a hospital door after he broke his tooth, we were told the park insurance would cover it.. but no, had to get taxis to different dentists and pay for xrays myself after the dentist i was sent to was not there.. also was not even offered a refund after being only 2 hours in the park.. the staff did nothing when he fell at the slide just let him walk off wit blood pumping from his mouth sobbing crying.
  • Very luxurious holiday just go in the spring/summer otherwise water park will be closed but still fantastic!
  • What a fun day we had at Aquashow. This is really a great water park for the whole family. It's got so many attractions that are all included in the entrance fee. You have your regular tubes, some faster and some slower for the smaller kids (and my wife). And then you have a roller coaster that goes through water making a big splash, really fun. When we went, they had just opened some new slides where you go inside the tubes and through a big cylinder. You can race with the person on the other slide if you can start at the same time. There's also a very high couple of other slide you slide down very fast. It's a thrill! Plus several other attractions you can do and repeat as long as you have legs for it. I really recommend this park for a fun day with family or friends.
  • Come here regularly for work so this is probably a second review of this place from me. As I stay in a lot of hotels there are always differences between those and that makes you understand the little things that do make a difference to your stay. Here the beds are all twins so you're sleeping in a single which I don't like and you do not have a duvet just a sheet and blanket which isn't nice as it all gets rucked up, it's hard to find a comfortable balance in the aircon and bedding so that you don't sweat your backside off or aren't too cold in the night. During our stay now the hotel was accomodating a massive conference so it was packed with people and this meant lots of noise in the outside bar until very late in the morning, the first days of my stay were a nightmare in terms of getting disturb sleep. In the end I asked to move and the reception staff very kindly managed to find me a room on the opposite side of the hotel which was much quieter. Wifi does not work on the upper floors but I could pick it up on the first floor. There is a connected ethernet cable in each room but if you have new Mac there is no ethernet socket anymore so you will need to bring an adaptor if you really need to 'check your emails' in your room. All in all this is a great hotel with a modern contemporary feel. Breakfast is good, lounging around the pool is good, the bar is good (although some staff have no idea how to make a cocktail!). Coming back next week and looking forward to it
  • A recommendable hotel, great hospitality and good service. We regularly work with this hotel, and we mostly have goroup bookings. Our clients are always satisfied and we never had one complaint.
