  • Great beach with areas of games and sports, sand and the place to put his briefcase. Underground parking (€2 for the day) in front, a restaurant on the beach, a surf school and other restaurants a little further to the Sea Life. A lot of wind, which is common on Porto, and water froise with lots of waves

  • The beach is beautiful with many stones that enhance the beauty of the place. But it's not the beach for diving, as well as of the many rocks, the water is very cold (for Brazilian standards) during the year, in addition to strong winds for much of the year. On the beach there is a bar-restaurant that has the look of the beach as your strong point. The service is reasonable as well as the food served. The best program is still eating appetizers or salads and drink beer during the day.

  • Maybe you'll take the vintage No 1 Tram to Foz and wander down the promenade to Praia da Luz? As beaches go, it's a pretty narrow strip of golden sand pierced by needle sharp rocks and beaten by the f...  more »

  • Onde of the best beach restaurants in Porto. Maybe the best. Probably the best. The only thing that bothers me is the menu. The food is not all that great and you don't have many options. Still. Is the best place to relax. To spend quality time. To just be. It's fantastic.
  • If you're looking for a place that will take your breathe away, this is the restaurant to visit. As the ocean waves hitting the shore right in front of your table will catch your attention you won't probably have the time to notice that the food is excellent too. Not exactly low cost, especially by local standards, but I would not miss it
  • Not what it use to be... The kids serving don't have a clue and the management is non existent... Luckily the sea, sun etc are not managed by them or they would screw it up!
  • Food and service is great upstairs, but a little hit and miss downstairs. Some waiting staff seem to have a little bit of an attitude. Views and building are spectacular though. Well worth a visit, especially for the sunset.
  • Not the hottest Beach but it offers very nice views and walk

Where to stay in Porto

Portugal's second city offers a healthy variety and quantity of accessible accommodations. The historical city center on the northern bank of the River Douro teems with hotel options, ranging from budget-friendly hostels and guesthouses, which often have shared rooms, to upscale, luxury hotels housed in larger buildings and packed with amenities. All of these options place you conveniently close to the town's main sights, including churches, historical squares, and more. On top of that, many hotels on the northern bank boast good views from their hilltop vantage points. If you want to save big on cost, it's worth considering a more low-key hostel or small hotel on the less-popular southern bank.
