It's a pretty interesting but is well away from the main tourist sites, namely, just who wants to meet is that will there.

The water Pavilion located in the Park of the city of Oporto, can spend a day in this beautiful park and go visit the Pavilion of water which must not lose the view if you are in the Boavista Porto.

The best of this visit is that it was the only port in which there was no queue to enter! What's more we were the only ones visiting her. The environment is impressive, at Park City, which is well worth touring, especially in days much heat as that we suffer. It raises several interactive water activities, while it is true that some of them did not work. Our son (5 years) loved, above all jets from outside sources. If you have time in your trip to Porto visit it; but it is not a must.

  • Really cool for kids, for European adults a bit less. If you're American, definitely go, you probably didn't learn this stuff in school. But if you have kids definitely take them.
  • It was quite the sensation back in 1998, especially for kids... great science experiments and all but c'mon... IMO it really needs a refresh renovation!
  • This pavilion was built to be part of the Expo 1998 in Lisbon. It was rebuilt in Porto at the city park. The shape of the building stands like if it were levitating from the ground, coming out of a surface of water. It's structure is entirely made out of wood.
  • Excellent museum
  • Great exposition. Great people working there

Where to stay in Porto

Portugal's second city offers a healthy variety and quantity of accessible accommodations. The historical city center on the northern bank of the River Douro teems with hotel options, ranging from budget-friendly hostels and guesthouses, which often have shared rooms, to upscale, luxury hotels housed in larger buildings and packed with amenities. All of these options place you conveniently close to the town's main sights, including churches, historical squares, and more. On top of that, many hotels on the northern bank boast good views from their hilltop vantage points. If you want to save big on cost, it's worth considering a more low-key hostel or small hotel on the less-popular southern bank.
