  • Is a museum with a permanent exhibition very interesting, mainly painting and sculpture, where special emphasis is given to the great sculptor which gives its name to the Museum. Have been, along with António Teixeira Lopes, one of the major figures of the Portuguese sculpture. The museum requires some maintenance. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and a tremendous help if necessary. Case like this kind of "roadmap" exists also in Vila Nova de Gaia (by the Court), the casa Museo Teixeira Lopes, being the home beautiful and authored by renowned architect Portuense José Teixeira Lopes and in terms of exposure has fundamentally sculpture, precisely by António Teixeira Lopes, with truly extraordinary works.

  • Varied Museum with paintings, and sculptures of Portuguese artists, as well as decorative arts inherited from the great travellers of the past. It is a place that is discovered with pleasure, whose access is not long too expensive and is not too much to visit. It takes 1 h to 1 h 30 which is very good for families.

  • Magnificent permanent collection, with strong ties to the city's history. Outdoor gardens although great, could be better well kept.
  • Great temporary expo of Amadeo Souza Cardoso work. Nice garden.
  • €5 it cost, I thought it was very reasonable. Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed it and the price came with two exhibitions aswell.
  • Good medium sized museum with beautiful paintings and craft works. There needs to be more emphasis on having information translated to English for foreign visitors.
  • A good small sized museum. Has As the masterpieces of Soares dos Reis. Focus in sculpture
