Liberdade Square, Porto
(4.3/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
Cutting through the heart of the city, Liberdade Square recalls the grand boulevards of Paris. Flanked by stately buildings and elegant hotels, the wide street features one of the city's most recognizable landmarks, a granite town hall famous for its 70 m (230 ft) tall bell tower. The boulevard's central square, featuring the towering equestrian statue of King Peter IV, serves as the site of frequent art festivals and exhibits. Try to avoid the heavy traffic that often chokes this avenue by exploring the area on foot or by bicycle. Literary fans may want to stop by the statue of writer Almeida Garrett in front of the town hall. • Liberdade Square is a square in the centre of the city. There are many commercial and some government buildings around. There is a Mcdonalds located nearby as well.
  • Is a great square, clear, with buildings classic very beautiful and in Christmas the adorn and light very well. In it they have stopped all the tour buses and it is a perfect location to stay. At one end is the Intercontinental Hotel, which is worth sitting at the bar to take a snack served with care and is delicious!

  • The main square of Porto! For the kids games to do, for the elderly photos on the illuminated swing banks.. buzzing with activity with locals and tourists. However no snack bar or terrace can be found in the area in the evening to a tasty bite to eat. Pasteleria's. Enough. sweets! There they keep of in Porto
