Estadio do Dragao, Porto
Categories: Landmarks, Arenas & Stadiums, Tourist Spots
Designed to seat more than 50,000 spectators, Estadio do Dragao hosts the F.C. Porto of the Portuguese Football League System and Union of European Football Associations matches. Its inauguration in 2003 saw a match against F.C. Barcelona, in which Porto won 2-0; that game was also the debut of Lionel Messi. Along with soccer, the stadium also serves as a venue for concerts of prominent musicians, including Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, and Coldplay. If there's not going to be a match at the time of your visit, check out the team's museum and take a guided tour of the site--use the opportunity to see restricted areas, such as the presidential box, changing rooms, and dugouts. Even for an important game 20 000 chairs empty. Therefore no good atmosphere. Did not like the way the away supporters were treated. If you come for an evening game make sure you eat before. They don't have a lot of food, just some sandwiches. If you don't like the two kinds of sandwiches they have you end up eating lots of Mars and Snickers for diner. Catering prices are good though!
Football Stadium of FC Porto with great Cafés and Hospitation.
FCPorto cathederal. If you are into football don't miss it.
