  • Old jail, jail that worked from the early 19th century until the 20TH century 70, the building also housed the Court of relationship. It was recovered and now houses exhibitions and the memory of the photograph. As its location is right next to the Tower of Clerics and other attractions, set aside a little time to get to know the building. There was a multimedia exhibition opened, but we were unable to visit the Museum-it is said that there is a collection of photographic equipment worth knowing. Even if there is no relevant exposure or access to the collection, the halls and the "enxovias", which has already sheltered notable prisoners such as Camilo Castelo Branco, are impressive. A little oppressive, but impressive.

  • The building of the Centro Português de Fotografia is now being renovated. As a result, the collection is not accessible at the time. Still worth a visit for the current exhibition. I'm glad to see that the entry is free!

  • Free accessible museum. We saw the photo exhibition of Kossoy. Worth it. Moving images. The building alone is worth to look at. For the time being you can but limited in. There is a cultivated.

  • A calm visit, not too much to see but very nicely remodeled for visitors and completely free entrance, though bits of the museum don't have much translation. They have a lovely and small photography library with Internet which is a really nice place to sit and look at photography books. Can highly recommend Great Photographers of LIFE magazine :)
  • Cool building. Great space to see contemporary fine art photography.
  • The exhibition is closed for the most part due to construction works. There wasn't any information on the website.
  • Cool building but was under a lot of construction and wasn't a ton to see. Not much English translations but free so definitely worth a quick stop.
  • A place to visit for photography lovers. Also, it's a nice way to know this old prison.
