Where to stay in Porto

Portugal's second city offers a healthy variety and quantity of accessible accommodations. The historical city center on the northern bank of the River Douro teems with hotel options, ranging from budget-friendly hostels and guesthouses, which often have shared rooms, to upscale, luxury hotels housed in larger buildings and packed with amenities. All of these options place you conveniently close to the town's main sights, including churches, historical squares, and more. On top of that, many hotels on the northern bank boast good views from their hilltop vantage points. If you want to save big on cost, it's worth considering a more low-key hostel or small hotel on the less-popular southern bank.

  • It's a beautiful shop. You can find a can of sardines of the year that you were born. It is a very nice store and the cans of sardines which are ordered by years are spectacular.  more »

  • Always nice to visit a small shop that has its good spirit !
  • Friendly helpful sales staff, they sell locally grown sardines CoMur from Murtosa, and bacalau too.
  • Really beautiful place with very nice staff.
  • A pity, the trade should warn that you can pass through customs, cans of sardines are very curious and is a nice detail that lead gift, with year of birth that you choose. But it was a great disappointment, they seized it at customs.

  • One of the traditional shops of the city that has adapted to the new times. Great decor, great taste and attention to every detail. Although without the variety of products sold in the past, such as fresh fruits and vegetables and not to mention the traditional friend hanging outside the store. I speak of cod, of course!
