Casa-Museu Guerra Junqueiro is a palace and museum in Porto, Portugal. It is a cultural center in memory of poet and writer Guerra Junqueiro.The palace dates back to 1730 and was built in Baroque style by Nicolau Nasoni. It is located at Rua de D. Hugo, nº 15. In 1940 the estate was donated by his daughter to honor him and it later became a museum.Exhibited in the museum is a collection of religious art, ceramics and furniture etc.

  • a house of a poet with the most amazing antiquities! Tapestries, ceramics, furniture beautiful displayed. With a lovely little cafe next to it.... that we enjoyed great coffee, hot chocolate and a ora...  more »
  • An 18TH century palace, belonging to the Dean of the Cathedral of Porto, acquired in the 20TH century by Maria Isabel Guerra Junqueiro, daughter of the poet Guerra Junqueiro, for there install the excellent collection of works of art belonging to his father and later donated to the Câmara Municipal do Porto, after works of remodelacáo reopens to the public. This House Museum is not very big, but it's pretty interesting, moreover, has a very nice bar.

  • The great poet Guerra Junqueiro who was also a collector of antiques, gives us good care of the existing acquis in this Museum, which was donated by the family of the writer to the Câmara Municipal do Porto. Of sculpture, painting, silverware and other pieces of great value, the filling of this important Museum, testimony of this great writer and Republican. A visit is recommended.

  • Small museum with a perfect collection. The cafe in the garden is also very nice.

  • Small museum with a large collection for tourists with a special interest in these pieces of art. The courtyard and the facade can be visited in a walk in the surroundings of the Cathedral along the street Dom Hugo.
