  • Loved our visits to the Porto Moniz swimming pools. Very clean and natural with the sea cascading over into the pools. Sun loungers available if needed at a reasonable price  more »
  • We were only in town for a couple of hours off our tour of the centre/north of Madeira, but couldn’t miss the opportunity of diving in here. COVID changes clearly impacted the experience as for...  more »
  • This is a fabulous place! Natural seawater pools to swim in and lots of places to sunbathe. Water wasn't as cold as I thought it would be! Its worth paying 1.50 euro for a sunbed (buy the ticket at...  more »

  • Absolutely brilliant. For only €1.50 you have lifeguards, changing rooms, showers and toilets and can experience the force of the Atlantic safely. Totally exhilarating. Excellent roads to travel there too, through lots of tunnels so no driving off the side of a cliff!!!
  • Great value!! Awesome location only 1.5 euro entry with good changing and toilet facilities. Then swim in the 'bracing fresh' water whilst watching the waves pound the rocks around you. Enjoy.
  • The natural swimming pools are really nice and well maintained. All the area around the pools is very nice. The place offers the option to rent a chair, there are showers and the toilets are all very clean. There is also a restaurant and the prices are nice and the food is good! A nice place to go during your holidays in Madeira
  • I loved the pools! They have life guards who watch over you, showers, changing rooms and admission is only 1.50. You can stand on a wall and let the ocean waves splash you. Super fun :)
  • Not totally natural swimming pools but are well looked after. Pools have been created from natural volcanic strata but have been managed to ensure good water supply to pool. Water is sea temperature and not naturally heated.
