  • In good weather, it is worth the detour. From the vantage point you have a beautiful view on the rocks and you can here put a nice rest. Below is worth a walk.

  • The visit to the spectacular Ponta da Ferraria is very special. To do this, some highlights for the "orientation". -The road is very steep downhill and see new parking is available. -The bath stone, is pure therefore ASSURE bath Schlappen bring. -At the entrance to a House which houses a restaurant, it is direct piscina "Entered the sea" beschriftetet to be addressed, it is free of CHARGE. -It cabins (on the way to the entry on the left side) are free available, as well as toilets. These are not really clean, so be sure they use in the coffee. -Seawater is very wild and overlook the entry with algae, also in the water, many stones are and the waves by a swirling around. Less suitable for children, therefore caution. -There are no shooting subjects available. Recommendation: well stow valuables in the car. To sum Up: Absolutely worth a visit. With the caution and the equipment required a great experience. Beware of the stones, which are barefoot very hard and the slip invite. When it rains and with small children, and pets, or older people which are not good not to recommend.

  • Experience depends on the hour of your visit. At midday it was high tide and we could enjoy the power of the ocean. With low tide it's obviously more relaxing place and enjoying warm-cold water difference.
  • A natural pool that mixes hot thermal water with the cold seawater. Awesome place to swim. And you have a fantastic view!
  • This is a great place to feel the heat of a thermal pool in the actual ocean. It is best to go when it's low tide so the water will be hot.
  • The volcanic wave pool is a must-do activity on Sao Miguel! Not for the faint hearted, but well worth the effort. Best time to visit is between low and high tide - at low tide it's too hot, at high tide you barely feel the warmth and the waves can be very strong.
  • I have not been there to swim at the facilities but on the other side I have been there photographing the seaside which I can recommend to everyone. Also seem to be quite popular with local fisherman, fishing off the cliffs.
