Where to stay in Albufeira

Renowned for its extensive beaches and rugged coastal landscape, Albufeira represents one of the nation's most popular destinations and offers a wide array of accommodations, both luxurious and more basic. Reserve a room in one of the city's upscale hotels in order to make use of pools, lounges, gardens, and amenities during your stay. Not only do they offer in-house luxuries, but generally these hotels place you within easy walking distance of the city's famed Praia dos Pescadores beach. While there aren't as many inexpensive options in town, staying at an inland bed and breakfast or a guesthouse in one of the smaller nearby towns can be both a relaxing experience and an affordable one.

  • Beautiful, quiet and tranquil with loads of pubs/restaurants. Avoid La Cigale - lovely location and food but way, way overpriced for some items.  more »

  • Nice little beach, with a great view on the coast. It's a victime of its own success... gets totally crowded. If you can, please don't go there by car, but walk or take a bicycle. I would rather come here for the view, and stay at the beach at a less busy area.
  • Stunning beach! Clean, with golden sand, little caves for kids to play in, rock pools etc. The tide comes in fast though so watch out. All the restaurants are nice around it too.
  • Beautiful beach. The wind was high when we went though. There was no lifegaurd and there were some cigarette butts in the sand. But we'd probably go again when the wind was low.
  • One of the best beach villages in the Algarve. A beautiful small fishing village with a lovely beach. Can get very busy in summer and parking can be a little difficult, however there is a multi story car park within 50m of the beach. There is only one road that leads down to the seafront so it does get congested at times. There are plenty of little bars cafes and restaurants along with shops and boutiques. A must visit if you are in the area.
  • Beautifull small beach with cliffs and fossils from miocene
