  • Beautiful surroundings but today during low tide (low water) via Ria Formica to Faro run (10 km). To tears of in your eyes! Huge amounts of plastic and all kinds of waste. Really a terrible face! During high water you see none of this but for a national park really outdated.

  • A hidden gem that can easily be missed - have visited many times and never fail to see something new - how can something some beautiful sit next to industrial estate?
  • Visit the Natural Park of Ria de Formosa is a great idea if you are traveling to the South of Portugal. And it is one of the 7 natural wonders of Portugal. It is also a paradise for birdwatchers and lovers of birds. You can observe birds such as the purple gallinule, flamingos, avocets, black-winged stilts, among many others. Go for more information on the Algarve and the Natural Park of Ria Formosa in my personal blog of travel unachicatrotamundos.com spent three wonderful days visiting this natural park. The area is almost de rigueur visit go to Tavira, a coastal town which lies near the border with Spain. We visited it one afternoon and stayed for dinner by the Center. It is lovely to wander through its streets and cross the Roman bridge. For me the city most charming of the Algarve. Highly recommend stay in Fuseta, close to everything and a very small picturesque village. A few sunsets brutal in this area.

  • Beautiful protected nature area, with excellent opportunities to see lots of different animals. There is a small entrance fee, but it is certainly worth the price. Be aware that it can be difficult to find shade along the way so remember hat and plenty of water
  • It's a beautiful natural protected area, starting in Quinta do Lago and extended until Cacela Velha. Wonderful chrystal-water beaches. Opportunities for water sports practice, watching native fauna and flora, relaxing and sightseeing.
  • Unique natural wildlife ecosystem. Beautiful estuary like landscapes.
  • Natural beauty, from farol island to.the ihla deserta, you have to visit this in faro
  • Amazing place. Go for a walk early morning or late afternoon to enjoy the views. Bring binoculars for some birdwatching.
