  • We had a great visit at the Bread and Wine Museum. First of all, the exhibits and (especially about bread making) videos were very informative. In clear, easy-to-understand language, they laid out the...  more »
  • The Museum of bread and wine, muscatel in this case, in a historic building of imposing façade, face washed, that by itself invites her in. Thematic Museum of bread from the four corners and the Muscatel of Earth (Favaios), are received by a very young, kind, communicative, cheerful and helpful, which advises the US route and provides a synopsis of these natural values of Favaios, a winegrower's village Douro In free business mode, the small museum is a charm, visually well done and very educational on your interactivity. Excellent photographic panels, fill the small rooms color and life. In the end, on the 1st floor, in a vast balcony open to the Valley that takes in vineyards, multicolored is served a Moscatel de Favaios, fresh, aromatic, delicious. And on that balcony, comforted by the Muscat, for armchairs and the breathtaking view of the vineyards, we recognize that Portugal is a privilege of nature.

  • We discovered this museum through a private tour of the Douro Valley, and were pleasantly surprised at this gem! Very well done museum, with English translations on all of the displays. This would be a great stop for tourists interested in learning about the production of Port wine, prior to winery or port cellar tours. Photos are from second story balcony, where we enjoyed a private wine tasting.
  • Stopping at a roadside restaurant without checking the reviews can be risky....but we were hungry after traveling through the Duro Valley. The food, service and of course the wine we're all very good. The views from the deck were great. Definitely stop and enjoy a nice leisurely lunch on the river.
  • Museum and tour were well done. Part of a great small town Portugal experience.
  • Fun and interesting
  • A small museum but very welcoming and interesting with very friendly employees. Phenomenal views to accompany the proof of muscatel.
