  • Okay, there is no SnackBar at the top of the Picota, but well if you can fill with a good beer, black pudding and homemade bread of Monchique to have tea in the Sun, he's got a family sitting over the granite blocks that are at the top. And there are other views in the Algarve which can compete with the Picota. But compete not for demerit of the Picota, but because other views in the Algarve are equally good. Made the repair, strongly advise the path of approximately 2 hours in step relaxed. Will pass by very rich forest area, full of Oaks, pines and a few eucalyptus trees meddlers. If it's fine weather during the fall or winter. Surrounded by a green living, crossing here and there for a few houses, but nothing that clash. If you like and you know get there are mushrooms everywhere (billets, blue, etc). The path is very affordable, well signposted. Throughout the path was going to thinking that a mountain bike on that path would make some wonderful damage. Next time. Although the path is the best you do around the arrival the top is what makes us wonder in life. With a privileged view about Monchique and Fóia North and South the Coast stretching to see Sagres, above a blue sky ripped from time to time by the contrails of planes lost, and below left, morcela accompanied in homemade bread and on the right the well-deserved beer, what can you ask more? Just a dinner together in Joint Petrol. But those are other stories.
