  • Space extremely well spent. We did a family composed of two 4-year-olds who enjoyed themselves immensely with the activities proposed by the Centre. I advise you to arrive early; We arrived around 4:00 pm and we've had to choose between a visit to the living Science Centre or Museum. We have chosen the first suggestion of rececionista, once we had children. The visit to the Museum next time. The Centre monitors very engaged in that our visit was enjoyable; very helpful without being intrusive. Surrounding the buildings space beautiful and worthy of a good walk!

  • After having a great meal in the restaurant of the complex of mines in Lousal, we went out to walk the perimeter of the mines in an attempt to desmoer a little our excellent lunch. To enter the warehouse of the Ciência Viva asked what could see there, that the employee told us. You could see the living Science Centre, Pavilion-style knowledge of Lisbon, the Museum of the mine of Lousal and that if we wanted to 3:00 pm would be a tour for all parties that were part of the mine of Lousal, with the possibility of the entry component even in the tunnels of the mine, and its rooms. How good we are explorers, we were soon ready for the visit. He appeared in a guide named Ana, we began by giving an overview of the entire complex who created when started and also when it was over and the reasons for its closure. All around we had to mine, our guide was going to counting all the history of those warehouses, those piles of stone, why a pond be green and the other red, what is being extracted from the mine and to serving as working miners in the mine, why the Armory of gunpowder charges be cal in pots. All this and more in a such a way and knowledge that makes everyone pay attention since small to adults. I know that this is a partnership with the Chamber of Grandola and Sapec so as to invigorate an abandoned space into something that can be seen, Ana told me that several Portuguese universities are the mark study visits with his students, as well as Spanish and English. It was a fantastic visit and an afternoon to remember. I share with all some pictures I took with the Mobile. I hope you enjoy. Carlos Cardoso

  • We could not visit the mine, only at 16:00. The mine cience center is only a place with some pictures, microscopes and so on.. In the area you can walk, by free, around the mine area and two lakes. Nice and interesting walk
