  • We were here with our children (4 years and 10 months) in the early morning. The place is a haven of peace, and I find Madeira already quiet... For €10, there's the mountain - and Valley ride per adult, children pay nothing. Today a brand new Doppelmayer-made in Austria, once probably a lift cable car brand equity building. Several hundred meters from the cliff to the beach. Great. Even for us, we are born at the foot of the Zugspitze, this is a special experience: I have never seen rope railway and sea. Down nobody, it was Sunday, far and wide. First, it goes on a gravel road between banana and vegetable beds to the restaurant. Already the hotel guests for breakfast sitting here. There to rent several renovated ancient cottage in part with private garden/terrace. As far as I get have for Max: €100 per night incl. breakfast. Really romantic! We ate then after a long walk through the gardens to the restaurant for lunch. The chef came to our table and offered us because fresh catch of the day: Parrotfish from the grill with potatoes and grilled vegetables the organic grown for €15 per person. We agreed: simply great! Our daughter ate French fries. They were very well and at a good price. We had the typical garlic bread for €1,60, as well as a mango juice, not nectar of mango without sugar or other additives for good €4.50. After that I still ordered a Poncha, that was just gigantic: freshly squeezed orange and lemon, the glass with a sugar rim. There was no ice. Cost€ 4.50. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Even the chef asked occasionally whether it tasted us. After dinner we were still swimming at the wharf. There are showers next to the restaurant. Particularly positive is I noticed that while there were also two local families their Sunday outing here have made, even with 18 people. So probably not a pure tourist destination. I would to anyone. Madairabesucher recommend this trip. We were however not in the main season there. I would advise to do so as early as possible, talk to the first gondola at 10 o'clock to go down.

  • It goes down by a cable car, or get there by boat. Already, imagine how this place is unique, protected and beautiful!

  • During a tour of Madeira, we ended up here a x and are in contact with a few people who had booked a cottage here. Last year we were a moment of rest and we have for 8 days a cottage booked through "Eliza was here" We have enjoyed the peace and quiet, nature and the friendly staff. The restaurant was good. However, the breakfast is the same every day. Delicious eaten with very friendly service. Although we never 2 x to the same destination, we decided this year to Faja dos Padres.

  • Very nice trip. With 10 € a ticket certainly not cheap, but worth the visit. Pretty calm and quiet down at the floor of the lift. Small beach. Nice restaurant with good food.
  • A little paradise on Madeira, so quiete so warm. Best experienced by staying in one of the casa's and enjoy the best time.
  • Cable car down the side of the mountain for some of the most amazing views then arrive at the most secluded part of the island only €10 per person over the age of 12. Very much worth it
  • The most isolated place in Madeira island. Where you will have total relaxation and peace of mind. Access only through the sea or the lift.
  • Only way to get to the restaurant is with the cable car (10€ each way). Not worth the extra expense for me, so i didn't go :(
