  • The street at night is quite impressive. In this way we dined at the time, an excellent fish restaurant. It's worth a ride at night, even to breathe the atmosphere of the Barrio, the beating heart of the city.

  • Great place to taste different Portuguese dishes. Buffet cost around €15 per adult with drinks and desserts charged extra. Very friendly staff and good food. Everything perfectly seasoned. Would definitely recommend. Better book in advance if you want to avoid disappointment. I've seen lots of people turned away as tables were either busy or reserved...
  • Nice place for a family to enjoy a good quality meal at a reasonable price. Fresh and nice buffet style restaurant, but nothing on the menu is exceptional. Service is good and the host is great fun.
  • Beautiful, fresh and healthy Portuguese food. Also great value for money. In a four night stay we came here twice it was that good. Staff were really nice and attentive. Highly recommend by people who travel for food.
  • Outstanding! The best meal I had in Lisbon by far! The food was absolutely incredible. It is buffet style but not the cheap and nasty style that you'd typically see in England. The food was of excellent quality and the price was very reasonable. Reasonable drinks prices, too. The atmosphere and staff were top notch.
  • In a sea of tourist traps and overly stylized neo-whatever nonsense, this place is the real deal. Delicious (and interesting) food and phenomenal service.

Where to stay in Lisbon

Check into one of Lisbon's grand city center hotels to position yourself well to explore the central historical districts on foot. To avoid the potentially high prices of some of the Old Town's central upscale hotels, try staying in a hostel instead. While some hostels have an upper age limit for their guests, they're affordable and oftentimes offer access to attractions on par with or better than bigger hotels. In the upper town, opt for one of the family-run bed and breakfasts, which provide affordable rooms and, as the name would suggest, include a meal as well.
