At Rossio Square, one of the main squares in Portugal since the Middle Ages, see Baroque ornamental fountains and monuments, have a coffee, and browse through a variety of colorful flowers for sale. Visit cafes that date back to the 18th century and check out the shops selling traditional pastries and spirits. See a 27 m (89 ft) column of King Pedro IV, who was also the first Emperor of Brazil. Snap photos of the 1840 neoclassical national theater, take a look around the 1887 Neo-Manueline train station, or walk along the cobblestone paths of this popular square. • In addition to being a historical square with beautiful monuments and buildings, is a reference point for various destinations. Knowing where she is, you can find your way to the elevator, praça do comércio, Cathedral Church, Augusta, Sao Jorge Castle and restaurants. Oh! I don't know if this is usual, but now Christmas is having a chestnut of things pretty cool sites!

  • The plaza overlooks Rossio station, is very wide with fountains and momunentos. This square saw all the history of the city. Very quiet ride.

  • Is a meeting point and the beginning of a street of shops and artisans. But there's nothing so interesting that you do spend a lot of time there. Worth go only if you pair the rua Augusta (worth a visit) or praça do comércio. For being next and for its historical importance worth a stop for photos. His real name is praça Dom Pedro IV. In the center of the square has a statue of this King, who was the twenty-eighth King of Portugal and first emperor of independent Brazil.
