Where to stay in Lisbon

Check into one of Lisbon's grand city center hotels to position yourself well to explore the central historical districts on foot. To avoid the potentially high prices of some of the Old Town's central upscale hotels, try staying in a hostel instead. While some hostels have an upper age limit for their guests, they're affordable and oftentimes offer access to attractions on par with or better than bigger hotels. In the upper town, opt for one of the family-run bed and breakfasts, which provide affordable rooms and, as the name would suggest, include a meal as well.

  • Good concept and good produce. Prices are good and worth a quick stop. The staff are a bit rusty and are still getting the hang of the place/routine. Very helpful and friendly. Go for a glass of wine and some delicious cheese.
  • Lovely platter with cheeses & meats. Very helpful service in recommending the wine to drink with it. Totally try this place!
  • Is reported as gluten-free restaurant. We sit down and (as always) notice the waitress that my daughter is Celiac. My daughter and I, we order of sardines in olive oil and of course the lead served on a slice of bread! I reiterate the question and I try to give back the dish, but the Lady responds laughing that I offered, as they jumped, if I hadn't eaten. In addition to the superficiality and lack of professionalism of the staff, I wish to share another negative note, the price. €18 for a paltry cheese and salami. Only positive, cheese, queijo azeitao. Discouraged.

  • Very nice place for snacks, like this little one and with a private room. Traditional tapas snacks of cheese and filled with a huge variety of these two. The big advantage is that you can take home, ate if like. Very clean and tidy. A lot of sympathy in the service everything in sight. Strongly advise
