  • Here you can simulate the universe. With a very nice set of projectors, they simulate all the events in the sky, and the positions of the stars and planets all over the year and where they are in the ...  more »
  • Schedules are absurd and, once you arrive, you find that works for different theme, depending on the time and day sessions, which, in our case, we arrived at 11 am, saw a video for children who played at that time and which lasted half an hour and there was no more since the exhibition is very loose and outdated (some posters and a playmobil that nobody understands what they do there). Total, that of the essence of a planetarium, which is the projection of the night sky, we didn't see anything. Web are not informed of the sessions, so it depends on luck (and is away from the Center). Schedules, without sense: If we had arrived five minutes later we had or could not see the projection and would have one hour to see posters... Nothing advisable.

  • After 40 years there I went back to the Planetarium now with my 9 year old son. All basically the same. For him it was very interesting and fun, because we have seen the 11:30 for young people.

  • Pretty good planetarium with quality headsets for non-Portuguese speakers. Great seats and an entertaining foyer with multiple science exhibits (look at them before the show, because they usher you out pretty quickly afterwards).
  • A very good museum to see the stars
  • Not worth visiting for the basic program. Total disappointment.
  • Good guides and confortable chairs!
  • an interesting visit, specially for kids above 6+ :)

Where to stay in Lisbon

Check into one of Lisbon's grand city center hotels to position yourself well to explore the central historical districts on foot. To avoid the potentially high prices of some of the Old Town's central upscale hotels, try staying in a hostel instead. While some hostels have an upper age limit for their guests, they're affordable and oftentimes offer access to attractions on par with or better than bigger hotels. In the upper town, opt for one of the family-run bed and breakfasts, which provide affordable rooms and, as the name would suggest, include a meal as well.
