  • It seems to me that the Museum is under construction, you come on one side and need to go back. Has an interesting collection.

  • I really enjoyed the Egyptian room here but if I had to be critical about anything there it was that they should have had English information on the information points across the sections there. The Eg...  more »
  • Next to the National Archaeological Museum and the Jeronimos Monastery. Goods brought from the colonial age to the great wealth of the great Portugal at that time. Also remind ancient at the time. Not to be missed in this museum is the mummy of Egypt, mask made by the wings of birds of Brazil.

  • We saw jeronimoes monastery, the museum or archeology, and the tower of Belem with a ticket we bought at the museum of archeology. Pro tip, skip the very long line at the monastery by buying this package from the museum next door. Nearby, you can buy pastel de Nata from the famous Belem bakery. You'll want to eat them right away, they get soft if you leave them in the packaging. I bought this ticket only to skip the line at the monastery next door, but for the couple extra euro, it was an interesting spot. Only takes a few minutes to go through, but the exit leads right to the head of the line at the monastery next door.
  • Very good , but buy a combined ticket for here ,belem tower and mosterio dos jeronimos it will save you queing up to buy tickets as queues can get very long and you can walk straight in.The mosterio is beautiful the architecture is amazing in all a good 4 hours visiting these 3 sights is well worth the 16 euros
  • Taking up a wing of the Jeronimos Monastery, this Archeological museum is home to interesting items from lots of different historical periods. It is a relatively small museum and some of the descriptive tags didn't quite make sense, but unless you're very serious about learning about all the items with exacting English, I find it does not matter so much. While I do not think this museum is essential to visit if you are pressed for time, taking a walk through the museum on a hot day to avoid the sun, or to shelter from rain on a bad day would not be a bad idea. On Sundays entry is free for everyone!
  • Many interesting archeology pieces. It is dark, maybe for conversing the pieces. Free to visit on the first Sunday of the month
  • A relatively small sized museum, housing items from different time periods. The items were not very interesting or exciting.
