  • The Berardo Museum in Lisbon which is located in the area of Belém, collects a vast collection of modern and contemporary art. Nice modern building access is free and the collections are arranged starting from different pictorial movements in progression, an easy-to-understand policy and interest thought in cross form. Surely it is a unique opportunity to appreciate the works of Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, Picasso and many others.

  • A very nice space in a rather arid area. If you are in Lisbon during summer, this is a great escape from the shadowless sun at the Praca do Imperio (maybe the trees still another 20 years to grow so t...  more »

  • Impressive building and large, serious contemporary art collection from around the world, plus temporary themed exhibitions. One of the best galleries in Lisbon. All free too.
  • Modern art is in its self a bit decisive. Some love it and understand the message whilst others look on in bemusement... I saw some interesting things but very little really grabbed me. Big space and nice place however. Just be prepared to open your mind a bit!!
  • This totally free museum it's located in a vaste area on Belem district in Lisbon. To visit the second floor (contemporary art), and the external gardens offers a great view on 25 april bridge.
  • The most enjoyable visit to a contemporary art museum I have ever experienced. Great building, lots of artworks, explanations in English (both written and oral). Since the entrance is free of charge, you may choose to relex outside and come back. In the area there is a good bar and a restaurant with an amazing view.
  • Some wonderful art and FREE(!) entrance. Wow. Can't help feeling the collection got 'rinsed' on a few pieces ... the matt black 'abstract' being a case in point. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Lisbon.
