Gaunt frame amplifies the above at the Museum. Amazing and especially can be visited free of charge. The top floor had a great view of the Tap. It is worth spending some time doing a step into the past

It features exhibitions on design and fashion as the name indicates. Located in downtown Lisbon is very central.

  • The museum is set in a former bank building, which still retains a lot of the original structure. You can even enter the real caveau, passing through a gigantic steel door. The exhibition I visited was very interesting, with pieces mainly acquired from theatres in Lisbon. The space is well-lit and well-designed, and it's a pleasure to visit.
  • Nice place and programmation in an old bank, go there!
  • The best collection of modern design.
  • Free design museum near the square. It's actually a collection of vintage everyday items that were notable for some reason or other. The upstairs section has some historical artifacts that are more relevant to Portugal. Interesting but not really a place you can spend more than an hour at most.
  • Great museum in the heart of Lisbon. Many things to see and very interesting. Great space. Free entrance.

Where to stay in Lisbon

Check into one of Lisbon's grand city center hotels to position yourself well to explore the central historical districts on foot. To avoid the potentially high prices of some of the Old Town's central upscale hotels, try staying in a hostel instead. While some hostels have an upper age limit for their guests, they're affordable and oftentimes offer access to attractions on par with or better than bigger hotels. In the upper town, opt for one of the family-run bed and breakfasts, which provide affordable rooms and, as the name would suggest, include a meal as well.
