7/19 (Wednesday) visiting. At 9 in the morning I went to half-time. Rode the cable car was clean, but stopped on the way to walk. Light rain also fell. If you arrived at work in in front of the lookout fence. Rain was not very good, but during construction the shock. Took photos from between the fence and went to the next tourist.

A place where you can see almost the entire city of Lisbon which descends to the banks of the Tagus.

In Lisbon you will find more of a "miraduro", a sort of viewpoint from which to admire this beautiful city, now perhaps a bit faded but certainly underestimated. You can reach him with the Elevador de Gloria or by bus 58 (or 59, unfortunately can't remember for sure). Very nice garden adorned by busts of famous men and heroes: I assure you that the views of the city makes it worth going there.

  • A great view point. Very nice park to sit a. D relax while enjoying the view. Use the special lift to go there. The stares are quite enough.
  • Nowadays there is some construction works, so it is not accessible. However, the view is one of the best. If you are coming from the metro station you will find those graffiti on your way up..nice
  • What a wonderful place to see the Sunset. There is a musician who plays in the evenings. Very romantic.
  • Nice viewpoint. You can see a big part of the city. Also good view of the saint George castle.
  • Beautiful view over Lisbon. Excellent relaxing Lisbon spot next to Elevador da Gloria, with coffee shop.

Where to stay in Lisbon

Check into one of Lisbon's grand city center hotels to position yourself well to explore the central historical districts on foot. To avoid the potentially high prices of some of the Old Town's central upscale hotels, try staying in a hostel instead. While some hostels have an upper age limit for their guests, they're affordable and oftentimes offer access to attractions on par with or better than bigger hotels. In the upper town, opt for one of the family-run bed and breakfasts, which provide affordable rooms and, as the name would suggest, include a meal as well.
