Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, Lisbon

(4.8/5 based on 2,200+ reviews on the web)
View Lisbon from its highest point, Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, with a castle on the hill, the city below, and the river with its massive bridge at the back. Take a seat on one of the benches lining the overlook and take in the tranquil atmosphere of the place, away from the bustle of the city underneath. The picturesque location is perfect for snapping photos: clouds rolling over a misty, sleepy town below the hill, or a lively riverfront city nestled amidst green forests and hills--either way, it awaits an artistic eye to capture its best angles. • This was the first Miradouro we visited in Lisbon and it is still one of my favourite views (though I like the Alcantara one and the view from the castle more). A really peaceful environment and easy ...  more »
  • Not only is the view amazing when you get here but the walk to get to the top will take you through quiet and unspolit backstreets of Lisbon.  more »

  • The Miradouro da Senhora do Monte one of the best viewpoints in Lisbon. One can easily observe a pleasing view over the Castle of São Jorge and Baixa de Lisboa. Has a nice garden to enjoy peace and tranquility.
  • This viewpoint, apart from its massive view, its one of the most peaceful viewpoints still around! It also offers a bar which even serves light dinners so that you can watch the sunset :)
  • Fantastic sunset views!! Ditch the tuc-tuc and walk up the hill..tuc-tuc can only stay a short while due to small the carpark.. I stayed for two hours. Took in some great local music, had a beer, took photos and watched the sunset.
  • The best view of Lisbon! Perfect to go on a tuk tuk tour! It's usually very windy but when i went it was perfect!
  • Without doubt the most beautiful miradouro in Lisbon. The best view of down town, the bridge, the castle and the statue of Christ. Don't miss the sunset from here
