Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, Lisbon
Categories: Lookouts, Observation Decks, Tourist Spots
View Lisbon from its highest point, Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, with a castle on the hill, the city below, and the river with its massive bridge at the back. Take a seat on one of the benches lining the overlook and take in the tranquil atmosphere of the place, away from the bustle of the city underneath. The picturesque location is perfect for snapping photos: clouds rolling over a misty, sleepy town below the hill, or a lively riverfront city nestled amidst green forests and hills--either way, it awaits an artistic eye to capture its best angles. Un point de passage obligé pour qui veut découvrir Lisbonne. Au soleil couchant c'est magnifique. C'est sans doute le point le plus indiqué pour avoir une vue d'ensemble sur la ville.A point of passage for who wants to discover Lisbon. The setting sun is magnificent. Most beautiful view of the Lissabon. Well worth the quick hike up the steep roads. Or you can just grab a cab or take a tuk tuk up there.
Lovely view, I was there early morning and it wasn't crowd and you could see the whole city. Next time I would bring some wine and cheese to enjoy the view even more. There's is a church in fron of the place that has an interesting history, there's a chair in the church and the women who weren't able to get pregnant would sit on it to get pregnant.
My favourite place in Lisboa. Watching the sunset while sitting on the grass and having a beer/joint. Best thing ever.
Probably one of the best spots to view the capital city in all its glory. A gorgeous view of St. Jorge castle, bridge and orange rooftops. Short walk down from the tram stop too!
Spectacular view. Very close to where tram 28 dropped us of
