  • I was looking for a park for a few hours before my flight. Hardin do Torel is a lovely little place to sit on a bench if you want to stay away from the crowd and enjoy the nature/view for a minute.
  • A hidden spot in the city where a decent view can be found. Take the tram to the top unless you're happy with the steep climb on a warm day.

  • Favourite View point in Lisbon. Great ratio dog-square meter! Great place to meet friends and give each other foot massage!
  • A beautiful garden, hidden from the casual tourist. A very relaxing spot with a view over the city. It's very small but worth every inch.
  • One of the best places in Lisbon. While very crowded it's still hidden from many locals and tourists.
  • The park is down a side street, just off the top of the funicular - I was lured there by the sound of classical music . There were quite a few actors, dressed up and playing pantomime characters from the 18th Century - telling tourists the story of the earthquake. Funny, but a bit irritating after a while. The view was absolutely beautiful - right over the city. I really liked the benches and tables, all angled over the view. A great spot for deciding where to explore next.
  • Open air swimming pool in summertime! With some sand added. Nice views on the city. Entries along the Rua Telhal, Rua São José and Rua Júlio Andrade. The latter one is the best one, as you only have to go down. Otherwise it's climbing up a lot of stairs and terraces.
