One of my favourite parks in Lisbon. Tranquil in spite of the central location, there's an excellent little bodega in the centre that makes very good morangoskas. Great place to just soak up the local atmosphere on a sunny day.
Right across from the Basilica da Estrela is this lovely garden - Jardim da Estrela. Please check for the opening times. (Generally 7AM–12AM) - local and exotic trees and plants, a small lake with ducks and statues. - There is a public restroom available in the garden. - On Saturdays, there was a flee market. I enjoyed it. - An excellent place for picnic or catching up with locals. - Stop by the little vans offering ice-cream or thirst quenchers. - Burn off the calories on the available open gym equipments ;)
A beautiful garden in the city centre, where you can walk, lay at the sun or buy some hadcrafted goods, in the best crafts fair (3rd weekend of each month). Two coffee shops, lakes with ducks, fishs and turtles. Perfect for picnics and outdoor parties
Very beautiful and historical garden where you can relax in a small nature paradise with lakes and many kinds of trees. You could also read some journals or magazines in Quiosque da Estrela for free or taking a walk while looking at the beautiful historical statues between trees. Sometimes you could have peacocks trying to talk to you and if you have luck you could see some coupling ritual between male and female . Nice place to running or have picnic with your friends in sunshine days. It is crowded on the weekend and very very crowded in special occasions like popular events such as Meo Out Jazz. You could also put your kids in the playground and they can do almost everything without hurting themselves because the materials are approved by CEE. Back in the days, they were made by wood and other "killing" stuff but I survived. That was one hell of a childhood. xD

A great garden in the middle of the city of Lisbon. This is a very animal friendly place. There ducks (lots of them) and many people bring their dogs. If you have a canine friend that you want to take on a walk this is a place to consider. Expect people, many many people, particularly on the weekends. There is also a coffee house by the lake. You can enjoy a fresh drink and some sweets outside by lake enjoy the ducks.
