Excellent choice to delve into the spirits of the country. You advise and help you choose never prevails the commercial interest to the satisfaction of the customer and if there is interest I do not it note we went out there with a national Gin and a good selection of wines from the country still reasonable price

It all started with an internet search for a wine of 1990 (the year he married) and and saw a bottle of reguengos, red, for an affordable price of €9.90. I ordered, paid at the ATM, I went to the store where they were raising a sympathy. The 27-year-old wine was drunk and according to who drank it "was very good".

  • Very friendly and helpful. Found a bottle of Icelandic gin we hadn't been able to get, even in famous London shops as well as some very nice local wine. Port available for every budget!
  • The Rua de Santa Justa shop is a standard one. One more in the Baixa district but the web shop service is absolutely dishonest. Beware of the web shop! They hide the more important details of the valuables bottles and finally you have got a less valuable bottle at the highest prices. Now there is another Garrafeira Shop in the Baixa (opposite to Napoleao); it is the second bad one. Beware of Garrafeira Nacional!
  • They had a great selection, decent prices, and very friendly staff. Unfortunately their shipping rates were absurdly expensive so we were limited in how many bottles we could buy. Still, they packed up all of our bottles very securely so that we could bring it as a checked volume. Will visit again next time we are in Lisboa
  • Helpful staff (not experts but know enough) and correct prices although you can find cheaper if you look
  • This company has many spots in Lisbon. Sales people know what they are talking about. I enjoyed the wine they recommended. Not too crazy expensive. You might be able to find better prices in the city if you were willing to look but they have an awesome selection.

Where to stay in Lisbon

Check into one of Lisbon's grand city center hotels to position yourself well to explore the central historical districts on foot. To avoid the potentially high prices of some of the Old Town's central upscale hotels, try staying in a hostel instead. While some hostels have an upper age limit for their guests, they're affordable and oftentimes offer access to attractions on par with or better than bigger hotels. In the upper town, opt for one of the family-run bed and breakfasts, which provide affordable rooms and, as the name would suggest, include a meal as well.
