The title implies a nice place, with gardens, a small Palace, source high in the mirador where currencies the Martin Pomball square, paseo, relaxation and see Lisbon from another perspective... The slope from Martin de Pomball is not very big and you can access to this area, there are benches to rest and above taking photographs of Lisbon and sea area... (4-8-17)

Great place for a walk, a trip or a respite from the hot sun. A wonderful combination of the Park, the Palm House and botanical gardens with a really original and very diverse vegetation. It is worth to book with 2-3 hours.

Came to the Estufa Fría in two couples; I would say you get exactly what you pay for. Prices to enter are very decent (€3.10 standard, concessions available) and whilst I wouldn't say that what I saw ...  more »

  • I expected a bit more colour. The construction impressed us more than the plants. Entrance free with Lisboa card otherwise it's like 3,20€, if I remember well.
  • Amazing place, here you can admire all kind of tropical flora, with the highest palms that I ever saw! It's a huge place and it's very convenient because the price is very low (3.5 euros, but if you a students with the certificate of dwelling in Lisboa you'll pay 1.30 euros!). Amazing!!!
  • Wow... Forget the usual tourist sites, but make sure to visit this wondrous oasis in a gracious part of Lisbon.
  • Amazing surprise. Went there expecting something rudimentary and was hit by a full fledged greenhouse with three enormous environments. A must go for any botanical enthusiast.
  • We attended our corporate event, this place it's unbelievable. Staff, service, and ambiance was outstanding. Food was was just ok... Stellar event nonetheless. Thanks!

Where to stay in Lisbon

Check into one of Lisbon's grand city center hotels to position yourself well to explore the central historical districts on foot. To avoid the potentially high prices of some of the Old Town's central upscale hotels, try staying in a hostel instead. While some hostels have an upper age limit for their guests, they're affordable and oftentimes offer access to attractions on par with or better than bigger hotels. In the upper town, opt for one of the family-run bed and breakfasts, which provide affordable rooms and, as the name would suggest, include a meal as well.
