  • The Cemiterio is definitely worth a visit, with the tram towards it and walk around and impressions. Everywhere are the "grave houses", a beautiful and maintained, the other neglects. Also a large impressive mausoleum. We have walked around an hour or two

  • Art and history of holding hands in a place of exception, every step is a work of art (some startling) and/or the tomb of an illustrious, there lie the remains of artists, actors, writers, soldiers, scientists, etc. people who built the history of Portugal in the last 2 centuries. Sightseeing tours are of excellent quality, but a simple walking through space can be fascinating. To highlight the work of Mr. Dr, Licinius Fidalgo (responsible for the cemetery), a Word with the same meaning a "bath" of knowledge that sharpens the curiosity and encourages research, your taste is remarkable and dedication as well as your ability to Captivate visitors with the history and the stories of the cemetery and its "inhabitants". Thank you very much Dr. Licinius, we will come back more times just for the pleasure to learn from you.

  • From the center line 28 with this cemetery as final destination (i.e., the opposite direction of Martin Moniz), the ticket costs € 2.85 per person and takes you parallel to the coast by all the Nice areas. It is a cemetery but not comparable to what we are used to. Visit this "city of the dead!" Besides the many graves there is also a small museum which is accessible for free and to the Taagzijde you have a wonderful view of the Vasco de Gama bridge. From the cemetery are you for a par euro with a taxi in Belem.

  • This reminds me of Pere LaChaise in Paris but it is much less crowded and therefore more serene. We wandered around for several hours just looking into the mauselems and admiring the views of the sea.
  • Nice river view and with impressive mausoleums.
  • one of the most beautiful and unique cemiteries in the world, the view for the river is amazing :D
  • Very pretty cemetery with many famous Portuguese people. Walk all the way to the back for a nice view. On sunny days it can be a nice albeit sometimes creepy place to go for a walk.
  • A really unique place in the centre of Lisbon, doesn't disappoint. Very quiet and interesting
