  • Do not forget to visit, there are several hiking routes can make free alone, as a couple, with friends etc, simply request the brochure at the entrance of the cemetery, but the graveyard has free visits for groups, so you must contact the Municipal Chamber of Lisbon, in addition to the Santa Casa da Misericordia of Lisbon, and a group called another look, making several trips to the cemetery and don't miss a visit to the Mausoleum of Palmela.

  • A cemetery of a special kind of morbid beauty. There, the dead could rest in peace, if this noise would not be. A total one-off. At the end of the cemetery a beautiful view of the bridge of 25 April 1974, and in the distance or the Atlantic Ocean. Where could you be nicer to eternal rest.

  • This reminds me of Pere LaChaise in Paris but it is much less crowded and therefore more serene. We wandered around for several hours just looking into the mauselems and admiring the views of the sea.
  • Nice river view and with impressive mausoleums.
  • one of the most beautiful and unique cemiteries in the world, the view for the river is amazing :D
  • Very pretty cemetery with many famous Portuguese people. Walk all the way to the back for a nice view. On sunny days it can be a nice albeit sometimes creepy place to go for a walk.
  • A really unique place in the centre of Lisbon, doesn't disappoint. Very quiet and interesting
