The Museum's location is quite far from the Centre but easy to get to by taxi or on foot. The Interior is equipped with elevators and is clean enough. However, it is a place for people who are particularly interested in poetry and in particular for an adult audience. Quite disappointing though because there is a large amount of relics and those of the few that are are very often rework or facsimiles. Nice Museum but to enrich!

Very well managed building, transmitting the idea of modernity. We can also observe several objects that belonged to this unmistakable icon of Portuguese literature (and even international). In the back there is a bar/restaurant with a terrace, which has access from the street, without having to enter the House with a welcoming Fernando Pessoa and pleasant terrace and plenty of shade. Recommend!

The Museum is very neatly, and staff. Giving staff guide you in English, so I was able to watch comfortably. Buy the last course in the library to borrow a book for each country a minute Pessoa. While there have been read. If you liked the gabogil pesos. 28 tram ride can go and buy and buy.

  • Great place to gather information about Fernando Pessoa. Their library is pretty and the building itself offers a lot of Pessoa insights.
  • A little disappointing, to be honest. There's actually not much to see here, but one can access their library, and the gift shop has translations in several languages of Pessoa's works. Very nice staff.
  • The house of the drunkman, the drug addict and also the most genius writer of portuguese literature
  • Think of this as an (awesome) museum. Restaurant was inside, but nowadays (temporarily?) closed.
  • Home of Fernando Pessoa, writer famous Portuguese. A detour to the restaurant located at the rear of the building completes the visit.

Where to stay in Lisbon

Check into one of Lisbon's grand city center hotels to position yourself well to explore the central historical districts on foot. To avoid the potentially high prices of some of the Old Town's central upscale hotels, try staying in a hostel instead. While some hostels have an upper age limit for their guests, they're affordable and oftentimes offer access to attractions on par with or better than bigger hotels. In the upper town, opt for one of the family-run bed and breakfasts, which provide affordable rooms and, as the name would suggest, include a meal as well.
