Where to stay in Lisbon

Check into one of Lisbon's grand city center hotels to position yourself well to explore the central historical districts on foot. To avoid the potentially high prices of some of the Old Town's central upscale hotels, try staying in a hostel instead. While some hostels have an upper age limit for their guests, they're affordable and oftentimes offer access to attractions on par with or better than bigger hotels. In the upper town, opt for one of the family-run bed and breakfasts, which provide affordable rooms and, as the name would suggest, include a meal as well.

  • Not only Trams, there are old double Decker buses which allow on board visit (even the driver seat). Unlike other museum which only allow distance watching. Great.  more »

  • Nice place to visit with kids since they love to use the tram to travel between museum areas. Its also possible to make birthday parties there and kids love it

  • The best place in Lisbon. Great exhibition presenting public transport in the city. Plus a ride with tram
  • Good Museum , like the old trams you can ride on as part of the price there are also buses and loads of old trams and a bit about the Lisbon metro as well in fact you even have to get one of the old Lisbon trams to get to the Museum from cais do sodre train/metro station
