  • Despite being in need of any intervention on the part of those responsible at the level of cleanliness, the castle of Leiria warrant lift by d. Afonso Henriques, it is a location with a magnificent view over the city of Leiria ... visitors have to pay for the visit Monday to Friday from 9:00 at 6:00 pm; Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 10:00 at 6:30 pm. Castle: € 1. Museum: € 2

  • The castle is very beautiful and has a part restored, which I think is very important. Several historical items in the Museum, which make you think at the time they were made. However there are many parts still not restored, which impoverishes a little visit.

  • It's a very interesting place and definitely worth a visit. Its a shame it's not better preserved, but even so the ruins are still impressive. You also have a great view over leiria while in the castle.
  • Beautiful castle ruins, in particular the Paços and the Pena church. And there's no better way to experience it by attending to the yearly music festival "Entremuralhas" that happens there in the Summer.
  • Awesome views from the city! Quite an iconic monument on the highest point in town.
  • Fantástica vista desde el Castillo
  • Amazing castle with spectacular views of the city.
