  • The monastery is magnificent, out of the time of the Kings, we feel the time travel. Is stripped of large artifacts, what stands out is the stone structure. But there's plenty of heaters for that mass does not become a cold place. The surrounding area is very nice to take a walk.

  • An essential monument in the history of Portugal. Just think that this is the marriage of Ferdinand, which ended with the first dynasty. Is to imagine the nobles all angry to attend this ceremony. A place to live the story.

  • The monastery of Jiddah before the Portuguese nationality. After being donated by d. Afonso Henriques to the Knights Templar, has undergone several transformations and expansions, having a Romanesque and Gothic. It was in this Monastery that the controversial marriage between Ferdinand and Leonor Teles, occurred against the will of the people. The monastery was restored in the 20th century and is considered a national monument. Deserves a visit.

  • Bonito local
  • Monastery of a timeless beauty! Simple and monumental, inside and out! I wonder, whenever I go, how was the wedding of Ferdinand with d. Leonor Teles. Near the Park of the rods, which allows a pleasant walk, rest and perform a visit of historic character.

  • This church is a fine example of the transition from Romanesque to Gothic Portuguese. Despite the Gothic Romanesque robustness transformation is still there. With the magnificent tower to give the structure a fortress.
