Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4.2/5 based on 2,000+ reviews on the web
Golden sands, colorful rocks, and calm waters are characteristic of Praia Dona Ana, a small beach hidden from roads and development. Nestled amidst cliffs and surrounded by countless grottos and rocky outcroppings, the area is within walking distance of the city center and is accessible by a flight of stairs or by a boat. You can rent a lounge chair and an umbrella at the site, or just spread out your towel. When you're ready for a snack, visit one of the many cafes on the clifftops, which also offer views of the ocean. Look toward the horizon to see if you can spot groups of fishing vessels at work. • Large clean all sand beach with a natural cove acting as a breakwater. What more could you ask for? There is a fair bit of boat traffic offshore but the are yellow buoys marking the swimming boundary ...  read more »
  • This beach was very close to our hotel. lovely and character actor with its rocks and its promenade. To access it you had to make a long staircase. This beach was also equipped with a bar.

  • Praia Dona Ana, Dona Ana is one of the top beaches in Portugal. Having visited in May, the beach was less crowded but in high season, one could clearly see why this beach would be so much crowded. The following are available in this beach: - Kayaking possibilities - boat trips to nearby caves - Restaurant with beach view
  • Great beach but the best part is taking the boats to explore the grottos from here. Much easier to get a personalised tour for a couple of extra dollars
  • Stunning views of this gorgeous beach. A bit more touristy than it used to be with walkways and sunbeds on the beach now. Still a lovely beach though and great for swimming.
  • Nice view but other beaches in the area offer better sand and are less crowded.
  • Beautiful place (if you like beach around the caves this one is for you)
