Praia Dona Ana, Lagos

#1 of 82 in Outdoors in Lagos
Beach · Nature / Park
Golden sands, colorful rocks, and calm waters are characteristic of Praia Dona Ana, a small beach hidden from roads and development. Nestled amidst cliffs and surrounded by countless grottos and rocky outcroppings, the area is within walking distance of the city center and is accessible by a flight of stairs or by a boat. You can rent a lounge chair and an umbrella at the site, or just spread out your towel. When you're ready for a snack, visit one of the many cafes on the clifftops, which also offer views of the ocean. Look toward the horizon to see if you can spot groups of fishing vessels at work. • A really nice beach which can be reached on foot from Lagos city center, it took me around 30 minutes. It was not that far. This beach has been chosen as one of the most beautiful beaches of the...  more »

  • World class views. Sea and sky always changing. Multitude of hiking trails surrounding. Quiet. Extraordinarily clean air and sea and beach.  more »
  • Really nice spot. It’s always going to be busy due to being right in the city but it doesn’t matter the nature makes up for being super busy. Beautiful cold water if that’s what you like!
  • Very nice beach with nice sand and rocky clifs. Tavern on the beach. Beach chairs are available but have to be booked for a fee every morning in a first come, first serve fashion. On top of the main cliff there is a pool and 2 restaurants. You need a pool access card to use the pool though. Those are for resort tenants only. Nice place to stay.
  • Beautiful, big beach with a hidden passage to a small nice bay. Free rest rooms, bars, booth with ice cream, sunbeds for rent. Good place for shells collectors. Clean, well maintained and well organized. Short walk on wooden steps to get there. Not enough parking places, if you come too late, you may have a big problem to park your car.
  • Clearest water, fine sand and beautiful rock formation! This place is amazing! Great place for sunbathing, swimming, boating and kayaking. Must visit when you are in Algarve.
  • hot sand + not so cold water = perfect combo. easy parking, free parking. bar at the beach 👌🏽
