Conservation and education remain the principal aims of Parque Zoologico de Lagos, home to more than 120 species of animals and nearly 200 species of plants. Representing wildlife from all five continents, the zoo famously features a 60 m (200 ft) long tunnel that allows visitors to observe exotic birds in flight. The shady park serves as one of the region's major family-friendly attractions, housing a petting area that provides close encounters with primates and domestic animals. Come at feeding time to learn about animal behavior from the park's friendly and knowledgeable staff. The zoo complex includes a restaurant, snack bar, picnic area, and souvenir shop.   • If you don't have children, it's not worth it. The site suffers from lack of maintenance and cleaning. The circuit to do in 1 hour.

  • This zoo is friendly, pets in good health, they breed. There is a close relationship with animals, some are even free. Attention, the reindeer at the entrance is not nice!

  • Tranquil place with freely roaming small kangaroos and peacocks. Excellent place for a day out for the whole family.

  • Lovely little zoo, can be very warm but drinks aren't expensive.
